SAİ 488 Professional Practice in Health Institutions Course

The SAİ 488 Professional Practice in Health Institutions Course, undertaken by fourth-year students of the Department of Health Management, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, generally aims to provide practical training in the functioning of the medical organization of health units, as well as their administrative, financial, and technical functions.

The course runs for 3 working days per week over one academic term. It is an 8th-semester course offered in the spring term of each academic year. The exact practice dates are determined in accordance with the Hacettepe University Academic Calendar.

Prerequisite for the Professional Practice in Health Institutions Course

In order to take this course, students must have taken and successfully passed the courses that serve as prerequisites according to the provisions of the Directive.

Prerequisite Courses:

  • SAİ 255 Health Institutions Management I
  • SAİ 254 Health Institutions Management II
  • SAİ 278 Turkish Health System
  • SAİ 345 Financial Management in Health Institutions I
  • SAİ 346 Financial Management in Health Institutions II

  • Appendix-3 Workplace Application and Acceptance Form
  • Appendix-4 Declaration and Undertaking (Dependent / Covered by Family Health Insurance)
  • Appendix-5 Declaration and Undertaking (Not a Dependent / Not Covered by Family Health Insurance)
  • 1 photograph

Students who are dependents of their family (i.e., who have health insurance coverage through a family member, or whose health expenses are covered through that family member's insurance) will complete the Appendix-4 Declaration and Undertaking. For these students, a Short-Term Insurance Branches Premium (Occupational Accidents and Diseases) of 1% will be processed and paid.

Students who are not dependents of their family will complete the Appendix-5 Declaration and Undertaking. For these students, both the 1% Short-Term Insurance Branches Premium and a 5% General Health Insurance Premium will be processed.
